The best thing about having a twin is knowing that at least one person will always be there for you, no matter what type of situation you get caught up in life. Twins always seem to care about each other more than regular siblings. They would be there for each other until the very end. Twins have a strong connection, see. A strong connection which is linked back to the time of their birth, and this is true even for fraternal twins.

With some sets of twins, there is a specific way you can tell the two apart. Not all twins grow up looking exactly like each other; most change their own appearances to be different from the other twin, while others might just mature naturally. Larissa and I, we still look quite a bit alike. The only differences are in our facial features, I think – not to mention our heights. I’m a mere five foot four, and Larissa is about two inches taller than me. I have chestnut brown eyes and she wears blue contacts. Our hair is about the same, but colored differently. I guess I’m also softer.

But the best way to tell us apart is attitude – Larissa is very, very different from me in personality. She’s more out there, while I just blend in. She’s like the bad twin and I’m the good one. She was always the trouble maker, causing problems and then blaming it on me. We had a lot of arguments, but we never really got into huge fights or anything. Actually, despite our differences, we got along really well. I guess that saying about opposites attracting is true, because such seems to be the case with my sister and I.

Whereas she is a lesbian, I am merely bisexual. I like the quiet and she likes loud things. We're almost complete opposites, but we are the same person. We shared a womb. We slept in the same bed together as kids, and still do occasionally. She sticks up for me and I stick up for her. Nobody hurts one of us without hearing from the other.

I don't really like talking about myself, because I have a hard time staying on topic about one thing for so long as it is. I guess one of the most important things you'd have to know about me is that I'm not as weak as I seem. A lot of people think that because I'm so much quieter than Rissa, I must also be weaker. Well, I'm not. I'm very stable. I can hit and I can take a hit. I don't like to lie, either. If I could help it, I would never lie.

When I was twelve, my father died of cancer. At thirteen, I had to get surgery on my back. Around the same time, my mother remarried to this weird guy named Richard that none of us really like, and a few years later they had Kaylee, my half-sister. I'm not really close to anyone in my family except for Larissa, but that much is obvious. I'm closer to friends. I have all sorts of friends. I blend in with most every crowd you can imagine, from the punks to the nerds, to the preps, to the goths. I do not judge. I am very accepting.

Unlike my sister, I don't have any piercings or tattoos. I can't stand needles. I hate feeling pain in any form, from emotional to physical, be it weak or strong. I mean, I an handle it, but I don't like it. I work in an antique shop. I like old-fashioned items like record players and Ataris, and if I had the money, I would buy them for collector items and keep them in my attic for someone else to discover years later, just to see their reactions of 'what the hell is this odd contraption?'

Everything is so high-tech lately, it's kind of insane. I'd rather live in the past than move on to the future, personally. But, unfortunately, time-traveling machines have not been invented yet. Surely, when they are, I'll be the first to try one out. And I can promise you that.
