- She's delicate in nature, but incredibly strong-minded. She can be sweet, but can also be a bitch at times - if the situation calls for it. Cory isn't the type to take other people's shit. She will stand up for herself and others and fight back if she feels like she has to, even though she generally hates violence and useless drama. She isn't someone who would just let others walk all over her.

- She likes to have fun and doesn't want to grow up. She lives for the moment, as if every day could be her last, and tends to act on any and all random urges because of this. She's very animated, like a little kid on a constant sugar high. Despite her childish nature, she isn't completely immature, but like anyone she does have her moments.

- Because she doesn't like the idea of "giving" herself to another person, she isn't very strong on serious commitment in relationships. She rarely gets attached to other people, so most dating is very casual for her. Unsurprisingly, she's also afraid of marriage. However, at the moment, she doesn't care much for settling down or having kids, so this doesn't bother her too much.

- As much as she hates being taken advantage of, she can be hypocritical about that. She doesn't usually mean to do it, but she has been known to take advantage of others for her own needs before.

- She lacks the motivation to do everyday things, and often finds herself stuck in situations she'd rather not be in. She has difficulty improving herself for the greater good as well, so even though there are parts of her personality that she hates and would like to fix, she doesn't care enough to actually do anything about it.

- When she's stressing out over something, she has to be alone. She doesn't let people help her.

Laura Matheson - Registered nurse. 46. Very laid back and easygoing. Nosy. A bit of a drama queen. Easily manipulated. She was always 'the cool parent,' the one who let her kids get away with doing basically whatever they wanted. Didn't really have a lot of influence over either of her kid's lives. Now that they've both grown up, she wishes she had been a better role model so they would have turned out more successful. She can be overwhelming at times, so Cory mostly ignores her mother.

Carl Matheson - District Manager of Subway. 48. He had more influence over his kids than Laura did, but it wasn't always in a positive light. He at least made sure that they both went to school and stayed out of trouble as much as possible. He doesn't care so much for what his kids do in life or how successful (or not) they turn out, so long as they're happy.

Vic Matheson - 21, currently working on getting his GED for high school. He dropped out during his senior year because he got his girlfriend pregnant and wanted to be able to be there for her to help with the baby. Now that the kid is older and they have more time and a little more money, they're both going back to school to at least finish out their degrees so they can try to make a somewhat better living. He's a sweet guy, really, but just like Cory he tends to act without thinking first.
